"Ah mon! Take a look at this advertisement. Is the newest design, cool. Isn't it?" I said with excitement, while flipping through the Streats and searching for the advertisement. My sister and I have been wanting a MP3 player long ago, have been looking out on the new design of a few brands. But I can't afford a MP3 player which costs two hundreds plus to three hundreds plus when I'm still a student. But you know right, things always happen.
So lucky that I'm having attachment with four hundred bucks a month, I'm sure I can afford it now. Then I realized I can only get my pay at the end of my internship.

"Yes! But how much does it cost? Does it show in the internet?" my sister replied with a concerning tone.

"Hai! What should I do now?" Asking myself. If I don't grab the chance now, the Great Singapore Sale will be over soon, then I won't be able to get it at the best price. Borrow $$ from him, my boyfriend? NO! I won't do that, Pride is the most important thing to me. Must get someone to pay for me. But who? And why should the someone pay for you?

I dragged my heavy body into my room and settled down. Changed my office wear into comfortable t-shirt and baggy shorts. Again, dragged myself to the bathroom. After taking a bathed, felt good and fresh. Then prepared dinner. Around 7.30, parents were back, we sat at the living room and enjoyed TV programs. Suddenly I asked myself, why not ask my mum to buy for me and get that as my 21st birthday present. So I was happily asked my mum,

"Ma, my birthday coming hor."

"Yes, so what you want this time?" Mum replied with a second thought.

"Err, how much you planning to fork out for my present?" I asked embarrassing.

"What u want to buy this time?" Asked with a very annoying tone.

"Em, A MP3 player." I replied timidly.

"What is that? And how much does it cost?" Mum asked with a blurred look. Then I explained to her what is a MP3 player when my sister interrupted.

"Ma, don't tell me you gonna buy for her, is two hundreds plus!" Ah Mon said.

"Ma, is my 21st birthday, just give me 100 bucks will do." I said quickly.

"Just tell me how much is it!" Mum asked the third time.

"Around hundred and fifty, I'm not going to get a expensive one." I said guiltily.

"Ma, then I want it also." My sister said jealously.

Then I replied angrily:" why mama has to buy for you? Don't forget you just went to Prague when I was having ITP and you were there enjoying the snow!"

Then I turned to mum, and gave a suggestion that I only need hundred dollars from her and get another 100 bucks from dad. At this time, my mum seen to be very far away at mars and could not get the signal. After the clock ticking for 3 second, " Tick... tick... tick " when my mum was mumbling about that we are so young but good at spending money and so. So I thought she never get what I said, and when I was about to repeat what I said, she broke out.

" Huh? Hundred from me and another from dad?"

" Yah, okay?" I replied and thinking she was so slow and until now then heard what I said earlier. At that time, I was laughing away, so did my sister. And guess what? Till now I still have not get a yes from my mum. SO????
